Getting in shape part 1
by Michele Bitencourt
Getting in shape is something many people is looking forward nowadays. For many different reasons, getting healthier, looking better, taking care of your body and the list goes on and on.
I could write many examples of whys and for what reasons but instead lets focus on achieving your goal.
I would like to start by saying that many people forget to focus on their diets and that is a big reason why so many decide to stop doing it.
Because of the challenges that will come with your now new choice of taking care of you differently of what you get offered every day, like fast foods or convenient meals that are not so healthy at all.
To initiate something new, we need first to find out why our old habits are not working and we do need to do some research in ourselves.
I like to ask questions to myself and answer them as honestly as I can to make things simpler and objective in order to reorganize for a new plan .
Here are some of my favorites:
1. What goals have I successfully met thus far?
2. Have I been 100 percent with my clean eating lifestyle, and am I giving it all during each training session?
3. Does something in my program need to change in order to meet my goal?
4. What can I do to accelerate myself to meet my deadline for my goal?
Answer it and STEP OUT OF THE BOX
Things that I usually find out are :
I need to do more regular cardio exercises
I need to focus on adding more fiber to my meals and choose low fat options for when I can't cook it myself
I need to add some more supplements to my diet
I still need to remember that for me small portions during the day work better than just 3 bigger meals
and limit the intake of : sugar, protein, dairy products, salt, caffeine and refined white flour products (pasta).
It's a constant reminder and planning around finding alaways better ways and new chalenges after we reach some stages and are ready to go to the next.
Who is coming with me ?
Let's do it!
